Once the project gets the go ahead, tender documentation is prepared by way of detailed bills of quantities for both construction work and specialist installations. This provides the highest level of cost control and dispute resolution

Post Contract Cost Control and Valuations
Through constant cost and change monitoring, negative cost implications can be minimized for the client. Monthly cost reporting keeps the client informed Payment valuations are issued monthly. The above inter alia forms part of our contract administration
Settlement of Final Accounts
As projects are completed, final accounts need to be settled and costs compared to initial estimates and feasibility studies. Timeous and accurate settlement is achieved through ongoing remeasurement throughout contract administration stage, ensuring the client only pays for what was constructed

In addition to services mentioned, we offer the additional service of managing the project for the client - ensuring that cohesive collaboration takes place amongst the professional team and overseeing all aspects to the project in terms of timeline management, scheduling and operation


Green Star Consultation
As part of the design criteria advice offered to clients, we collaborate with Green Building Accredited Professionals in order to provide the client with a cost effective and environmentally friendly building should they be interested in having a Green Star rating

Hendrik Herselman Quantity Surveyors was established on 1 March 1994 in Windhoek. The Partnership recently updated the name to Herselman Van Greunen Quantity Surveyors.
The practice specialises in providing quantity surveying services on building projects in addition to property development consulting.
In order to maintain the high standard and pro-active services expected from a quantity surveying practice, we use modern computer systems, WinQS - SQL software package, Dimension X graphic user interface, BIM take off module and CCS for planning and programming of building projects

Herselman Van Greunen Quantity Surveyors was established as Hendrik Herselman Quantity Surveyors on 1 March 1994 in Windhoek.
Over the years, the practice has grown and evolved, recently updating its name to reflect a new chapter in its professional journey.
We specialize in quantity surveying for building projects and offer property development consulting across Namibia and Southern Africa.
To maintain the high standards expected from a modern QS practice, we use advanced tools such as WinQS – SQL, Dimension X, BIM take-off modules, and 3D model coordination to support accurate planning and documentation.
But beyond the software and systems, we are people first. We work with people, listen to their needs, and apply professional judgment, experience, and insight that no algorithm can replicate.
Our strength lies in combining technical precision with human understanding—ensuring every project is not just well-documented, but well-supported.
